As we continue to stay inside and look for ways to keep our children entertained, the options seem to be getting a little more limited. Keep your kids occupied with a photo scavenger hunt this week. This could be a fun family activity, or you could send kids to look on their own, hopefully giving you a bit of quiet time. Regardless, we hope this is something your kids enjoy doing.
Here’s how it works: We’ll post a letter of the alphabet each day this week. Have your child find something that looks like that letter and take a picture of it. For older children, you could raise the stakes and have them compete against each other.
Each letter prompt will be posted on our Facebook page at 12 pm EST. Share your picture on the post each day, then take a look at the pictures other kids took.
The official challenge starts Monday, April 13th and runs through Sunday, April 19th, but you can complete this challenge on your own social media anytime.

Kids Photo Scavenger Hunt
Day 1. Take a photo of something that looks like the letter “L.”
If you’re looking for a challenge, look for an uppercase “L.” Otherwise, lowercase works.
Day 2. Take a photo of something that looks like the letter “O.”
Will it be a ball, a donut, a scrabble piece, or something else entirely?
Day 3. Take a photo of something that looks like the letter “V.”
Turn this one into an arts and crafts assignment; draw or paint the letter out.
Day 4. Take a photo of something that looks like the letter “E.”
This one might take a while to find, but we know it will be great!
Day 5. Take a photo of something that looks like the letter “Y.”
If you’ve been listening to Y.M.C.A., a picture mid-chorus counts.
Day 6. Take a photo of something (else) that looks like the letter “O.”
For this one, try and find the letter “O” looking only in the kitchen.
Day 7. Take a photo of something that looks like the letter “U.”
Make this one a little challenging and create a “U” out of objects around the house.
BONUS: Make a photo collage that spells out LOVE YOU!
And yes, we’d love to see those too, on this post, or on our Facebook page.
No matter how many people in your family plan on participating, we can’t wait to see your pictures. Download the prompts for the week here, or find out the new letter each day on our Facebook page at 12 pm EST.
